HAPPY NEW YEAR :) I hope you all had a magical few weeks. I can't believe it's all over for another year. It always makes me a little sad when it comes to an end but January is also a great month to start fresh and make new plans for the year. It's an extra special month for me as my blog turns another year older and this year I am celebrating 5 wonderful years in the blogging world. It's a little crazy to think it's been 5 years already, the time has absolutely flown by but I've enjoyed every single minute of it.
This year, we rang in 2018 at the beautiful Brehon Hotel. Myself and John adore Killarney so I couldn't think of a more perfect place to spend the weekend. We checked in on the 31st and we were greeted with a delicious afternoon tea. That evening we dined at the beautiful Danú restaurant within the hotel and enjoyed a delicious 5 course NYE meal with some bubbles. Come 11pm we headed into the town centre for some cocktails at JM Reidy's...
Welcome back to Blogmas day 4. Seeing as how we are fully in hype of all things Christmas and festivities, I thought it would be the perfect time to share with you some of my favourite bars in Dublin. Who doesn't love catching up over a a few drinks or a yummy cocktail with friends and family this time of year. So, whether you live in Dublin or you're visiting throughout the holidays, here are a few of my favourite spots!
1. The Westbury hotel; Such a gorgeous place to relax, unwind and enjoy one of their many delicious cocktails. They also have the most beautiful Christmas decorations and serve mini glasses of champagne with your drinks order which is such a lovely touch!
2. Pichet; I love this cosy little bar right by my office. It's the loveliest restaurant with a bar at the front for you to chill and watch the world go by. They also do the most amazing tropical cocktail called the copper mug which I would highly recommend if you want to feel like you're on holidays :)
Jumper, hat & Sandals/Primark, Jeans/Topshop, Bag/Gucci.
Happy Tuesday :) Hope you're all having a fab week so far. It kinda' felt like a Monday for me as I was at Electric Picnic all weekend, yesterday was definitely a day of recovery and rest. Haha. We had such an amazing weekend though. EP is always the best festival and a nice way to officially end the Summer :)
Anyway, it was back to work mode today. I also popped into town to meet my blogger babe Grace for some lunch and a long over due catch up. We also both (very randomly) got a new piercing in Brown Thomas from the super fab Maria Tash. We were with Sarah and Suzi from Zero One salon, where we both get our hair done, and Sarah kindly treated us to these super fab piercings. We both had our trash ruck pierced (the flat part at the top of your ear, just on the inside) in Brown Thomas on Grafton street. They have the amazing Maria in there until this Sunday so if anyone is interested, defo pop in while she's here in Dubli...
Happy Monday. I wanted to share this look with you that I shot a few days ago. I am LOVING red at the moment. It's so chic and bad ass all at once :) I'm excited to rock a new colour palette coming into the Autumn months. Especially now that it's all we see on the high street.
Anyway, I hope you've all had a great start to the week. I was catching up on some work this morning and then headed to Dalkey for lunch with John. It was our first time there and I loved it. Such a cute little village :)
Tonight I went to my weekly gym class, ass & abs. I love that class on a Monday evening. 45 minutes of total torture but it's always a great start to the week. We have just finished a yummy healthy dinner and we're watching Game Of Thrones on the couch with some treats. I know, I'm so bold but I can't resist some chocolate in the evenings. All about that balance ;)
P.S. This post isn't sponsored, I just loved this tee and...
Hope you all had a fab weekend. Mine was so lovely as it involved plenty of sleep, nice food, cocktails and a VERY special purchase!
I have been in love with the Gucci Marmont bags for as long as I can remember so, this weekend I finally bit the bullet and bought my very first designer handbag. Such an exciting feeling and I'm so in love with my gorgeous new baby.
The GG Marmont bags come in both velvet and leather in most colours. Most of the collection come in 3 sizes; large, medium and mini. This one I have is the mini black velvet. I was in two minds between leather or velvet, medium or mini. Whilst trying on both in BT's, the medium looked quite bulky against me so I decided for the mini. It looked much neater :) The sales person also told me the leather wears better than the velvet which is no surprise but my gut was telling me the velvet regardless. There was no comparison! The leather is gorgeous too, but the velvet was for me. So chic and classy!
Hope you're all having a great week! Sorry for my absence here this week. It's just been one of those catch-up admin weeks where I've just been at meetings or at home on my laptop working on all the bits and bobs that aren't as glamorous as taking outfit photos. I've missed it though, shooting looks is the best & my favourite part of this little blog of mine so I promise to be back with plenty more over the next few days.
Happy hump day! Here are some snaps of this evenings outfit for dinner and drinks. I ADORE this two piece from Revolve. The colour, the flowy skirt, the Pom Pom detail, it's just perfect! I could shop forever on that website. They have the most amazing summer pieces, my wish list is endless!
